One of the best parts about my job is that I get to meet such wonderful people.  This family was so fun and inviting.  They all trooped out on a busy and cold weekend in January to take some family portraits.  Even the family dog got in on a bit of the action (although I am certain she felt we were all a bit nutty).

They put up with my silly faces, my moving into place, the reminders to fix their hair and smooth their tops — and were good sports about the whole thing!

Birthday Bash – {Minneapolis Children’s photographer}

meah-party-3031Today we trekked out in the COLD weather to attend a birthday party.  It was not just any party — it was a TEA PAR-TEA!!

This event was hosted by Little Miss M (you may remember her from her three year session here).  She is the daughter of my dearest friend (I would say “best” but somehow that seems so high school and does not begin to touch on the friendship I have with her  Mom) Miss R.  She’s such a good friend that I edited these quickly, and head of work from last week, just because…

It was so much FUN!! It made me remember how much fun it was to wear hats, dress up and play with doll houses. Unfortunately, my husband had to work so my son had to come with and was the lone gentleman at this affair!  He hid out in the basement except for eating and the brief moment we got him to wear a tie and a hat!

Here are just a few of the nearly THREE SIX HUNDRED   images I took today.  I hope you like your sneak peaks !!

Time is certainly flying by.  I can not believe how quickly my own children are growing up.  Each day it feels like they get older and wiser and more determined to leave childhood behind.

In particular, my oldest Mr. J is so weary of the Mommy Paparazzi that I rarely get a genuine smile/look from him if the camera is even in the same room as him.  So it was just magical for me when I captured this moment.  It just warmed my heart.

I know we are headed into a year of change and growth for him it will be filled with riding skate boards, bikes and Pokemon cards all much more grown up ”stuff” then his favorite puppy.  However, for one brief moment, he was still my “baby”.

As always I plan to capture every moment of my chilren’s encredible journey to adulthood.
